WHY IS THE MEDIA INFLUENCED BY SOCIAL AND CULTURAL CONTEXTS? As part of your answer please include your own definitions and differences between culture and social contexts. The media output is dependant on what is socially accepted as well as morally correct, this applies to how the media text provide a message to the target audience, which should should provide a positive reaction. This ties in with the theory of how a person absorbs the information given to them, deciding whether or not to accept it. The Big Issue What is the big issue’s political stance? Although it is not clearly divisible that The Big Issue have a political stance, they do lean towards the conservative side. How can The Big Issue have a more varied front cover design than most magazines? Due to The Big Issue not having a distribution line on the shelves of stores, it allows them to change their masthead in not only in cover but in font as well, as they do not need consistency for their target audience. this also applies to the events that they report on, being varied.  What is The Big Issue’s sell line?
